Self Drive Tour - About Reservations:
Reservations must be made in advance.
Reservations are accepted only under the name of the driver.
In order to use this service, the reservation holder, the driver, and the credit card holder must all be the same.
Reservations can be made up to 5 hours prior to departure. If you book less than 5 hours prior to departure, we may cancel your reservation.
During High Seasons, such as Golden Week, Obon, and year-end/New Year Holidays, we recommend that you make your reservations as early as possible.
Reservations can be made from 90 days before the tour date.
Reservations can be changed or canceled via Website up to one day prior to your departure.
Cancellation of Reservation
When canceling a reservation, a specified cancellation fee will be charged. Please note that the reservation will be canceled if the rental agreement has not been executed one hour after the scheduled departure time.
The cancellation fee for reservations is as follows.
Cancellation Fee
- 14 days or more before the scheduled date of use: free of charge.
- 4 to 13 days before the scheduled date of use: 30% of the rental fee.
- 2 to 3 days before the scheduled date of use: 50% of the rental fee.
- The day before or on the day of the scheduled date of use: 100% of the rental fee.
* Requests made after 6 pm Japan Standard Time (JST) will be processed the next day.

Driver’s license for all drivers

International or foreign driver’s license for all drivers
International Driver’s Permit
Must be an international driver’s permit in accordance with the Geneva Convention.
List of the contracting country or states of the Convention at Geneva 1949- International driving permits are valid for one (1) year from the date of issue (be sure to confirm the date of issue) and their validity for driving in Japan is one (1) year from the date of landing in Japan (confirmed by the immigration stamp in the passport showing the date of landing in Japan).
However, persons on the basic resident register who leave Japan and subsequently re-enter the country within less than three (3) months will not have their re-entry date considered as their date of landing (the start date for driving eligibility in Japan). - International driving permit acquired from signatory countries to the Paris Convention (1926), the Washington Convention (1943), or the Vienna Convention (1968) are not recognized.
- International driving permits are valid for one (1) year from the date of issue (be sure to confirm the date of issue) and their validity for driving in Japan is one (1) year from the date of landing in Japan (confirmed by the immigration stamp in the passport showing the date of landing in Japan).
Foreign Driver’s License
Driver’s licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco, along with a Japanese translation of the license Must be able to present passport at the same time.
- Japanese translation of the driver’s license must be issued by the respective country’s embassy or consulate in Japan or by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).
- For Taiwanese licenses, a Japanese translation of the driver’s license must be issued by the JAF, the Taiwan-Japan Relations association or the ZIPLUS Co., Ltd..
- Foreign driver’s licenses are valid for driving in Japan for one (1) year from the date of landing in Japan (confirmed by the immigration stamp in the passport showing the date of landing in Japan) or until the expiration date of the foreign license, whichever is earlier.
- However, persons on the basic resident register who leave Japan and subsequently re-enter the country within less than three (3) months will not have their re-entry date considered as their date of landing (the start date for driving eligibility in Japan).
Passport
Credit Card (Debit card is NOT acceptable)
* All documents and permits MUST be originals. Copies are NOT valid.
* If you do not bring the originals, you cannot attend the tour and the tour fee is NOT refundable.
Age Limitation
Driver must be 23 or older except RWB Porsche.
RWB Porsche drivers must be at least 26 years old.
If there is more than one person who wishes to drive, they may take turns driving at the stopping point if they all meet and present the above driving requirements.
All vehicles are equipped with an ETC on-board unit as standard equipment and highway tolls for the regular tour route are included.
Not equipped with a car navigation system. But you can use your own smartphone as a car navigation system.
Passengers with infants under 6 years of age must bring their own child safety seat.
Please note that those with a passenger under 6 years old cannot rent a car without a child seat.
Smoking is completely prohibited in the car.
Please note that if the smell of tobacco is detected inside the vehicle, we will charge 100,000 yen for cleaning.

Please show our staff the email you received to complete your reservations. - Presentation of required documents
Please present your driver’s license, credit card, passport, or other necessary documents. - Signing of contract
Please sign the rental certificate and pledge. - Inspection of the exterior and explanation of vehicle operation
Inspect the exterior of the vehicle with a staff member. If there are any scratches or dents, please be sure to check with our staff. The staff will also explain various aspects of vehicle operation. - Departing

Our staff will inspect the vehicle at the time of return.
Car Rental - Insurance and Compensation :
The following auto insurances and collision damage waivers (CDW) are included in the base rate.
- Bodily injury insurance: unlimited per person (including amounts covered by automobile liability insurance)
- Property damage insurance: Unlimited per accident (no deductible)
- Personal Accident Insurance: 30 million yen per person
- Vehicle insurance: Market value per accident
The following non-operation charges (NOC) must be paid separately.
In case of an accident, theft, breakdown, defacement, etc., and the vehicle needs to be repaired or cleaned, the following amounts will be charged as compensation for business during the period of the accident, theft, breakdown, defacement, etc.
- 150,000 yen will be charged for 1 (one) damage or scratches including gouges in the rim.
- 300,000 yen will be charged for 2 (two) damage or scratches including gouges in the rim.
- 600,000 yen will be charged if the vehicle is returned by the towing service in an undriveable condition.

- If insurance does not cover the damage and repairs to the extorior/interior are necessary, 100% of the repair cost will be charged.
